Regent bosses step down
The chief executive and finance director of pubs group Regent Inns have both resigned with immediate effect.
No reason was given for the departures of Stephen Haupt and Simon Rowe, but the move follows sharp declines in like-for-like sales and the departure in April of the group's operations director.
The company, operator of the Walkabout chain, said its full-year results would be announced on 14 September, and these would be in line with expectations.
The group warned in April that pre-tax profits would be down on last year.
Non-executive chairman Peter Savage will become part-time executive chairman and will chair the company's executive management committee, which oversees day-to-day operations.
