The Sir Alfred Munnings pub in the village of Mendham in Suffolk has sold for close to an asking price of £227,000 for the freehold interest to Provence Hotels. The two-storey property, which features single-storey extensions at the side and rear, dates back to the mid-19th century. It comprises an open-plan lounge bar with seating for 30; a separate pool table area and bar servery, and a 16-cover restaurant. Owner's accommodation on the first floor comprises a lounge, bathroom, and four bedrooms. The agent was Christie and Co on behalf of Robert Mayes.
