Ramsay's celebrity Hell

You thought you'd seen the back of him on TV for a while, but Gordon Ramsay returns to our screens on Saturday with a new programme, Hell's Kitchen. The programme attempts to turn celebrities into chefs and was filmed at the Taste restaurant at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College.

Among the celebrities taking part are politician Edwina Currie, Bros heart-throb and singer Matt Goss and investigative journalist Roger Cook. The stars were being trained at the college in preparation for the live transmissions that will be filmed at Hell's Kitchen, a new, temporary restaurant in London's Brick Lane.

Ramsay said: "In the kitchen, we are a team. I'll be wearing a blue apron and so will they. This isn't about celebrity status. I am more concerned about their cooking ability - or lack of it. I'm looking forward to showing the blood, sweat and tears that go into creating memorable food."
