Red Carnation Hotels sells Guernsey hotel to Little Big Group

Red Carnation Hotels has sold the Duke of Richmond hotel in Guernsey ahead of a “significant renovation” at the Old Government House, now its sole Guernsey property.

The 76-bedroom Duke of Richmond at St Peter Port was acquired by the hotel group in late 2011 and refurbished by Red Carnation’s president and founder, Beatrice Tollman, who had ambitions to raise the bar of the then three-AA-star hotel.

The hotel, which now holds four-AA-stars, has been sold to the Guernsey-based Little Big Group, who also own Fleur Du Jardin, the Peninsula hotel and Les Douvres hotel.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
