Bank aims for quality sites
Bank Restaurant Group's ambitious plans to take a larger share of the fast-developing premium casual dining market will not come at the expense of quality, its new boss has said.
Stephen Walker, who became chief executive of the enlarged group following the recent £32m merger with the Individual Restaurant Company (http://www.caterersearch.com/Articles/2006/11/23/310189/reverse-takeover-deal-sees-irc-take-control-of-bank.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Caterer, 23 November, page 11), said: "We have set ourselves the target of opening at least six restaurants a year. Although we know we're capable of opening more, we don't want to put ourselves in a position where we are forced to take the wrong sites."
