Berlin brunch pop-up launches crowdfunding campaign for permanent site

Berlin brunch pop-up Brünch has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund its first permanent café in the Taproom of the London Fields brewery in east London.

Berliner Noemi Dulischewski founded the concept last year as a roaming pop-up café. She now hopes to redesign the brewery's Taproom and open the brand's first permanent site in time for December.

With five days left of the campaign, £5,000 has been raised out of a £10,000 target.

The café menu would offer granola with quark; potato rösti with smoked trout, poached egg and avocado; locally-sourced cheeses, smoked meats and fish; fresh, seasonal fruit; sourdough and rye bread from local bakeries; buckwheat waffles; and typical German desserts and cakes. Drinks would include coffee from Germany-based roasters and herbal teas.

Dulischewski said: "I want to make a real difference in the local brunch scene and put my new venture at the heart of our great London Fields community by engaging and working with local talent, independent producers and local suppliers that are as passionate as we are. I want to create a fantastic new buzz around the Taproom and become the place to go for beautiful food, drink and great vibes in London Fields."
