Bill's Produce to open first London café/grocer's store
Bill's Produce, the Sussex-based restaurant/grocer group, is to open its first outlet in London, with the launch of a 120-cover site at St Martin's Courtyard in Covent Garden.
The company, which currently has two sites in Lewes and Brighton, will open the new restaurant in November. It will be housed in a 3,304 sq ft space spread over two floors accommodating up to 120 covers.
"We've been looking to come to London for some time and feel very lucky to have secured this site," owner Bill Collison told Caterersearch.
Bill's Produce first opened in Lewes in 2010 and launched a second site in Brighton in 2005. Collison said the group's expansion would take place organically. "We're in no rush," he added.
Bill's Produce is the fourth operator to sign up to the St Martin's Courtyard development, which also includes a Jamie's Italian, which opens this week, and will see the UK launch of US-based Mexican restaurant group Cantina Laredo and Indian café Dishoom over the coming weeks.
There is still one restaurant unit available at St Martin's Courtyard totalling 9,139 sq ft over ground floor, first floor and second floor, which is the largest space within the development. Davis Coffer Lyons is the sole restaurant agent for the scheme.
