Bistrot Bruno Loubet appoints David Fogelman as new head chef

Bistrot Bruno Loubet in Clerkenwell, London has appointed David Fogelman as new head chef.

The American chef, who has also worked at Fergus Henderson's St John Restaurant and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's, will now develop the Bistrot's menus alongside Loubet.

He most recently worked as head chef for the Arnold & Henderson events company, having formerly worked every section at St John, before becoming senior chef de partie.

Fogelman moved to London in 2009, having started his career in Philadelphia, US, where he worked his way up the kitchen ranks at Jake's Restaurant, before becoming head chef of Palate Restaurant, in 2001. He replaces head chef Dominique Goltinger, however Fogelman will assume a broader role at Bistrot Bruno Loubet.

After taking some time away from cooking due to an accident, Fogelman returned in 2007, becoming head chef at the French/American restaurant Blue Pear Bistro in Pennsylvania until his later move to the UK.
