Bistrot Pierre heads to Weston-super-Mare in the summer
Bistrot Pierre is to open a site in Weston-super-Mare this summer as it continues expansion plans following a £9.8m investment.
It will be the French restaurant group's 16th site and will create 40 jobs in the seaside town.
The opening will be the group's first since securing a £9.8m investment from private equity firm Livingbridge in December 2015.
Co-owner Robert Beacham said: "The new restaurant will seat approximately 180 diners with plans for a large bar area downstairs, extensive outside terraced areas and a balcony for customers to enjoy the stunning views and beautiful evenings by the sea.
Menu items will include dishes such as steaks frites, boeuf bourguignon and crème brÁ»lée.
Beacham added: "We take regular trips to France to seasonally update our menus, bringing French authentic ingredients and new dishes into our bistrots. Each bistrot is slightly different and the group prides itself on creating a unique dining experience for customers at every location."
