Bistrot Pierre to open second site in Wales

Restaurant group Le Bistrot Pierre is to open its 14th restaurant, this time in a new city-centre development in Newport, south Wales.

The new restaurant will be part of the Friars Walk retail and leisure development when it opens on 12 November this year.

It will be the group's first shopping centre site and its second in Wales, joining the established Cardiff site.

Bistrot Pierre was founded by school friends Rob Beacham and John Whitehead 21 years ago.

Commenting on the new opening, Beacham said: "This is one in a series of new openings we have planned in the next 12 months. Newport has been in our sights for a while and Friars Walk provides the perfect place for diners looking to enjoy quality French food at an affordable price.

"We're very pleased with the growth of Bistrot Pierre and have big plans for 2016. Our newest addition to the group opened in Bath earlier this year and is doing incredibly well so we're looking forward to continuing the group's success across the border."
