Bistrot Pierre to open three restaurants in 2015

Restaurant group Bistrot Pierre is to open three more restaurants in 2015.

The new openings, in Bath, Birmingham and Newport, will take the total number of Bistrot Pierre sites around the country to 15.

The Bath site is set to open first, in March. It will occupy the site of what was the Jika Jika coffee house and canteen in George Street. The fit out of the restaurant is expected to cost around £700,000 and will be designed by Devon-based architect Gillespie Yunnie - the same firm that worked on Bistrot Pierre's Plymouth, Cardiff and Torquay openings.

Meanwhile, the Birmingham Bistrot will open on Gas Street within a former toll house backing into the Birmingham canal.

The Newport site will be the group's first site in a shopping centre, in the new Friars Walk development.

Robert Beacham, co-founder of Bistrot Pierre said: "2014 has been a great year for us. With our Cardiff bistrot opened we focused our attention on the Abbey Sands development in Torquay and opened there in September. To now be able to announce three new openings for next year is a great culmination to 2014."

"Each of our bistrots is styled to complement the building it is in and while our look changes between them, customers can expect the same attentive service and high-quality French cookery every day. We've spent years creating a restaurant brand that is firmly focused on great value French dining and good food and are proud that this combination has proved to be the right mix and that it has enabled us to get where we are today."
