Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack launches second site in Soho
Seaside restaurant Bonnie Gull is to open a second Seafood Shack in London's Soho next month, following the success of its Fitzrovia site.
The 23-cover restaurant, Bonnie Gull Soho on Bateman Street will maintain the same ethos as its sister site, and will offer only fresh and sustainable seafood from British shores.
The menu, created by executive chef Christian Edwardson, will have a focus on sharing plates.
Dishes include: squid toast with ink aioli; wild hayle mussels cooked over embers with parsley hollandaise; charcoal grilled monkfish cheek and duck heart skewer, nduja mayo; Scottish langoustines, confit potatoes in langoustine bisque; Dorset white crab meat, celeriac, apple & grapefruit; Whipped salt cod brandade with confit duck, yolk and endive; and Wood-grilled whole Cornish John Dory, smoked anchovy butter.
Bonnie Gull co-founder & MD Alex Hunter comments "With our second Seafood Shack we are excited to be offering a Soho twist on our Fitzrovia original. Our commitment remains to serving only the freshest, sustainable British day-boat seafood in a relaxed, fun environment. Bonnie Gull Soho will offer a unique dining experience where customers can interact directly with chefs, learning where their food comes from and how it's cooked."
Sommelier Bastien Ferreri has created a wine list to pair with the food, with all wines being available by glass, half and full bottles. Signature cocktails will also be available including the Bonnie Mary topped with a fresh oyster.
Bonnie Gull Soho will have a no-reservations policy. Those waiting for a table, or a seat around the open kitchen, will be given a discount in the surrounding bars and cafes.
