Bougie Macaron & Tea to open first UK outlet in London

Online Parisian pâtisserie, Bougie Macaron & Tea, is to open its first UK café and shop in London's Covent Garden at the start of October.

The brainchild of Frenchman Jean Nedelec, who learnt his macaron craft from his grandmother, the new Bougie site in the Opera Quarter will serve a range of the French biscuit, as well as fine leaf teas.

It will also provide a menu of breakfasts and foods such as acorn-fed ham, wild Scottish smoked salmon and Caviar d'Aquitaine, with hot drinks available throughout the day.

Bougie Macaron comes in three ranges: Classic (vanilla, chocolate and lemon), seasonal (orange blossom, passion fruit and wild strawberry) and unique (the more unusual flavour combinations, such as foie gras).
