Brunning and Price buys Osteria Mauro restaurant near Manchester

Brunning & Price, the pub company owned by The Restaurant Group (TRG) has acquired Cheshire-based restaurant Osteria Mauro for an undisclosed sum.

Osteria Mauro announced this week that it would be closing its doors from 6 January following the deal.

The family-owned business has occupied the site in Mottram St Andrew, close to Manchester airport, for seven years.

An employee of the business said the owners hoped to find another site in the centre of Manchester in the future, although there are no solid plans in place as yet.

Brunning & Price, which has more than 30 sites, mostly based in the North West and South East of England, will re-open the new site in the second quarter of 2013.
