Burger & Lobster to open 10th London restaurant

Restaurant group Burger & Lobster is set to open its tenth restaurant in London, after acquiring a new site in High Holborn.

The 4,429 sq ft restaurant at 193-197 High Holborn will launch in May next year.

It is a 14-year lease, with a rent of £135,000 per year, and was formerly home to Shanghai Blues.

The deal for the site was brokered by Restaurant Property, which was also behind the Burger & Lobster restaurant in Cardiff.

In addition to the London and Cardiff sites, the company has restaurants in Bath, Manchester, New York, Stockholm, Dubai and Kuwait.

Nick Garston of Restaurant Property said: "We are delighted to have acquired this property off-market for Burger & Lobster to add to their rapidly expanding portfolio.

"Holborn is becoming a key target area for premium restaurants and this opening will further enhance its already vibrant food scene."
