Café Blu sold to Surrey restaurateur

Surrey restaurateur Roberto Mangoni is the new owner of the Café Blu restaurant and bar in the Surrey village of Englefield Green, near Egham.

The ground floor, detached property is located in St Jude's Road, the main road running from the A30 into Windsor.

The restaurant, which specialised in modern British cuisine with a European influence, can seat 50 diners inside and another 32 under a canopy outside.

The vendor, Sonny Jafri, wants to focus on his Café Blu in nearby Virginia Water, and has put his third branch, in Windsor, on the market as well.

The Winchester office of Christie + Co was seeking £150,000 for the leasehold, which runs to August 2020.
