Carluccio's launches ‘new generation' restaurant concept
Carcluccio's is to open what it describes as a new generation of restaurants with open plan kitchens, communal kitchen tables and integrated retail areas.
The first of the redesigned sites will be Spitalfields in London, which will include an updated ‘Carluccio's Deli and Dining' logo. It will make more of the deli and grab and go offer as well as featuring a new lighting system that will better differentiate from bright daytime to more intimate evening dining.
The news comes as Carcluccio's has reported a 7.4% increase in turnover to £137.8m and a 7.2% increase in EBITDA to £15.3m for the year to September 2015.
Four new sites have opened so far in 2016, with a further six planned before the year end, while the group has also announced plans to open its first hotel site in the London Marriott Regents Park.
The menu will be divided by dishes 'from the deli' and 'from the kitchen', with new dishes including crab macaroni, duck pappardelle, grilled Sicilian prawns and pizza.
