Caterer Quarter Group teams up with Heals to open new London restaurant

London-based caterer the Quarter Group has teamed up with designer furniture retailer Heal's to open a new restaurant at its flagship store on Tottenham Court Road.

Headed up by restaurateurs Doron and Valeria Zilkha, the Quarter Group will take over the space previously occupied by Peyton & Byrne, which will close on 3 January and reopen as Heal's Quarter Café on 12 February.

The first-floor restaurant space, which seats up to 80, will be fully refurbished and extended, with the menus set to serve the company's signature modern mix of seasonal, healthy comfort food. Typical dishes will include homemade pastries, all-day breakfast, sandwiches and soups, charcuterie plates, hearty salads, afternoon tea, cakes and tarts.

In addition, Heal's Quarter Café Express will open at the main entrance to the store as a ground floor mini-kiosk, offering takeaway menu as well as seating for up to 20.

"We are very excited to be working with the Quarter Group to bring fresh new menus and delights to our customers," said Heal's creative director Gillian Anderson.

"The Quarter is a perfect brand fit for Heal's, and will make Heal's Tottenham Court Road not just an inspirational shopping destination, but also a very exciting place for casual dining and takeaway."

The Quarter Group, which launched in 2006, currently owns and operates Chelsea Quarter Café in the King's Road and the River Quarter Kitchen in Plantation Wharf, Battersea. A new site - to be called Royal Quarter Café - near Buckingham Place, in Wellington House, Buckingham Gate, will open in late spring 2013, and the company has ambitious plans to expand with further London sites in the next two years.
