Cau steakhouse announces Leeds opening

Buenos Aires inspired steakhouse, Cau, has revealed plans to launch in Victoria Gate, Leeds.

The restaurant, due to open on 20 October 2016, will offer steaks, burgers and small plates on an all-day dining menu.

Brunches and Sunday roasts will be available at the weekend.

Charley Springall, head of marketing at Cau, said: "We are excited about launching our 21st site in the UK in such a vibrant and diverse city as Leeds, particularly as part of this much anticipated regeneration project. We are looking forward to introducing locals and tourists alike to our restaurant soon."

Cau will open alongside restaurant groups D&D and Le Pain Quotidien in the new Victoria Gate development.

Victoria Gate is owned by Hammerson, a developer of retail properties.

Robin Dobson, director of retail development at Hammerson, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming Cau to Victoria Gate, as well as Leeds' dining offer. Like many of the other brands we have secured, Cau's decision to launch at Victoria Gate reflects the unique retail and dining environment of the scheme, one that provides the perfect opportunity for brands to step outside of London and build a presence in Leeds."

Cau is the casual restaurant concept from Argentinian restaurants Gaucho Group.
