Chatime, which serves Taiwanese-style bubble teas, is to open its 10th UK store later this month.
The new site, at 85 Regent Street in Cambridge, will offer 12 different styles of bubble tea. The teas are available in a total of 63 varieties (such as black tea, green tea and so on) and with eight possible toppings.
Chatime, owned by Peter Wong, offers serves the teas both hot and cold.
Bubble tea, which is often brightly coloured, has a froth on the top of the drink and often contains tapioca balls, became popular in Taiwan in the 1980s. In recent years it has become increasingly popular in the UK.
In addition to the new Cambridge site, it also has venues in London in Old Compton Street, Gerrard Street, and the Brunswick, as well as a site on Long Row in Nottingham.
Wong said: "We are all very excited about welcoming the people of Cambridge in to try our delicious selection of bubble teas. We're thrilled to have secured a site in the heart of this beautiful, historic town and we look forward to further UK expansion later this year."
