Chef Murray Wilson moves from Rudding Park to Crafthouse and Angelica

Murray Wilson has left Rudding Park in Harrogate to join D&D London's Crafthouse and Angelica in Leeds as executive head chef.

He has replaced Lee Murdoch, who has opened Three's A Crowd, a new restaurant with hospitality entrepreneur John Quinlan in Harrogate.

Wilson spent three and a half years in the same role at Horto, the three-AA-rosette restaurant at Rudding Park.

Earlier in his career, Wilson worked for Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's in London before moving back to his native Yorkshire to join Hotel du Vin in Harrogate as head chef, during which time he appeared on BBC TV's MasterChef: The Professionals.

Wilson said: "Crafthouse has such a well-respected reputation and I'm looking forward to adding my influence to its legacy. I'm planning on using good produce properly, allowing the flavours to shine through using classic techniques."

Guillaume Sanzey, senior general manager of Crafthouse and Angelica, added: "Murray's passion, drive and incredible expertise reflect perfectly the vision we have for the future of Crafthouse and Angelica. Having him in the kitchen is something we are all very excited about".

D&D London is made up of a portfolio of 39 restaurants.
