Chinese takeaway owner buys Werrington Little Chef

The 75-seat Little Chef in Werrington, Cambridgeshire, has been sold to the owner of a nearby Chinese takeaway for close to the £350,000 asking price.

Wei Wen Peng, proprietor of the Guang Bong Chinese takeaway in nearby Gunthorpe, intends to reopen the roadside property in the New Year as a Chinese/Thai restaurant.

The freehold property is located on the Lincoln Road and sits at the entrance to a retail park next to the A15, two miles west of Peterborough city centre.

The restaurant, which ceased trading in February this year, was the last of nine Little Chefs in East Anglia to be sold by the Ipswich office of Christie + Co.
