Clapham House announces finance boss to drive expansion
Restaurant group Clapham House has promoted Nicholas Wong from company secretary to group finance director.
Wong, who joined Clapham House in May 2004, qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001 and has specialised in corporate finance in the property and leisure markets, including due diligence, flotations and acquisitions.
"His extensive financial skill and commercial acumen will be of great value to Clapham House as we look to rapidly expand our estate of restaurants and maximise value for our shareholders," said chief executive Paul Campbell.
The group, which floated on the Alternative Investment Market in late 2003 to buy and add branded restaurants, now operates 25 sites and owns Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Bombay Bicycle Club and Real Greek chains.
Campbell said Clapham House has about 10 new sites in the pipeline and expected to have a total of 30 units trading by March 2006.
