Clove Club founders back chef Chase Lovecky's solo restaurant
The team behind Clove Club is helping the restaurant's former head chef Chase Lovecky to open his own London venue.
Two Lights, which is billed as a new neighbourhood restaurant in Shoreditch and is set to open in September, will serve modern American food, according to Clove Club co-founder Isaac McHale, who announced the news on Instagram.
Lovecky worked for McHale as head chef of Clove Club for three years, having previously worked at Momofuku Group's Ko in New York and its Seiobo restaurant in Sydney, Australia.
Prior to that, he also worked for Hugo's restaurant in Maine in the USA, as well as for Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
McHale said: "Chase is a rare talent, a grafter, a lifer, an all-day all-nighter, dedicated to the cause of making people have amazing meals and he is going to make a lot of people happy."
On his own Instagram account, Lovecky said he "could not be more excited" about the venture.
McHale opened Clove Club, which holds a Michelin star, in March 2013 with Daniel Willis and Johnny Smith. In 2016, they opened Luca in London's Clerkenwell.
