Coffee Republic announces ambitious expansion plans

Coffee shop brand Coffee Republic has announced ambitious expansion plans throughout the UK and abroad over the next year.

The chain, which was relaunched this year under new ownership, plans to open 20 new franchise sites and 20 new company bars in the next 12 months, beginning with two new franchise properties in Clacton and South Woodford opening by July.

Franchises are also planned for Cyprus and South Africa - with 14 openings there over the next five years, adding to its international portfolio which includes sites in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Jersey and Jordan.

Coffee Republic re-launched this year with new-look interiors by Conran & Partners following its collapse into administration in 2009. The coffee outlet has also introduced a new breakfast range nationwide this month.
