Coppa Club to launch second site outside the capital in Maidenhead

Hugh Osmond's Coppa Club is to launch its second site outside of London in Maidenhead, Berkshire next Summer.

Maidenhead's Coppa Club will occupy 4,854sq ft on the ground floor of the Picturehouse at Shanly Homes' Chapel Arches development with a 996sq ft outdoor terrace.

The new venue will join a portfolio of four other restaurants in Sonning-on-Thames, Tower Bridge, Oxford Circus and St. Paul's.

It will offer European food such as sourdough pizzas and salads while the bar will serve wine, beer and cocktails throughout the day.

John Gripton, Coppa Club's property director said: "Coppa Club has a real affinity with waterside locations, and so we were drawn to the incredible work the Maidenhead Waterway's Restoration Group has been doing at Chapel Arches.

"A perfect waterside location for Coppa Club, The Picturehouse is a real gem. Maidenhead as a whole is also a really exciting place to be as it gears up to welcome Crossrail in 2019. With so much investment heading into the town, we see this as an exciting opportunity to be part of the town's wider regeneration.

"What Coppa Club offers is something for everyone, from commuters and shoppers wanting to put their feet up to local workers needing somewhere to hold meetings as well as the after work crowd looking for somewhere to unwind."

The lease was agreed with Sorbon Estates, the commercial property arm of the Shanly Group by Sun Capital Partners - the private equity firm Osmond leads.

Agents GCW and Nick Young & Co and Kempton Carr Croft assisted with the deal.

Tamra Booth, managing director of Sorbon Estates, said: "Due to its waterside location in the heart of the town's regeneration area, we received a great deal of interest in this space and we felt that Coppa Club has the best offering for this new environment.

The Shanly Homes' Chapel Arches development, Waterside Plaza is due to be finished early next year. It includes 16,000 sq ft of ground floor space for restaurants, cafes and retail units.
