Cosmo Restaurants snaps up Bristol's Le Monde

Cosmo Restaurants is the new owner of Bristol's landmark restaurant, Le Monde.

The Bristol venue opened in 2002 as a sister to Cardiff's Le Monde restaurant which is more than 25 years old and renowned as one of the best seafood restaurants in the Welsh capital.

The Bristol Le Monde occupies the entire ground floor (covering 9,000 sq ft) of the Pavilion building in Triangle West in one of the city's prime leisure locations.

Just a 15-minute walk north of the city centre, Le Monde can accommodate up to 180 diners.

Cosmo Restaurants was set up in September 2003 to provide an eat-as-much-as-you-like, fixed-price Pan Asian cusine of fresh, authentic ingredients served as a high-quality, buffet with live cooking. It currently has eight other outlets in the South of England

It has no plans to change how Le Monde operates for the foreseeable future.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the 25-year lease off a guide price of around £250,000 with an annual rent in the region of £140,000 per annum.
