Darren Brown appointed executive head chef at Feldon Valley
Darren Brown has been appointed executive head chef at the Kitchen restaurant at Feldon Valley in Lower Brailes in the Cotswolds. Brown will cover the food offering at the site, which encompasses a golf club, restaurant the Kitchen, which launches this month, and Lodges for overnight guests, which will open in April. The menu is set to focus on local ingredients as well as those grown on-site in Feldon's gardens. Brown joins from the Kingham Plough in Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, where he served as head chef. He has previously worked at West Stoke House in Chichester, where he earned a Michelin star in 2008, maintaining this up until the site's closure in 2010 Brown said: "I'm incredibly excited to be joining the team at Feldon Valley. I'm passionate about local produce and supporting quality local suppliers and this location has a wealth of resources on its doorstep. "My new menus will reflect this locality while delivering the all-important dining experience from the extraordinary setting we're so privileged to enjoy at Feldon." David King, general manager at Feldon, added: "We are thrilled to have Darren on board as we open the Kitchen to the local and wider community and prepare to welcome overnight guests in the Lodges in April.
