De Fazio brings in old friends

London restaurateur Raymond de Fazio has joined up with his former team at Osia to operate the renowned City restaurant Rudland & Stubbs.

De Fazio's Café Med group bought the long-established restaurant on Greenhill Rents for an undisclosed sum and will now spend about £250,000 refurbishing the site before reopening in March.

Former Osia head chef Koenraad Inghelram will head up the kitchen, while David Wilson, also previously at the Haymarket restaurant, will run front-of-house operations.

"We decided to get back together as a team because we had such a good time working at Osia," de Fazio said.

The 70-cover restaurant and bar will continue to specialise in seafood, serving a mix of classic and innovative fish dishes, Monday to Friday.

Average spend is expected to be about £25 excluding drinks.
