Domino's names David Wild as CEO
Domino's Pizza Group has named David Wild as chief executive, following his interim appointment to the role at the start of the year.
The former Halfords boss, who joined Domino's as a non-executive director in January, became acting CEO in January after Lance Batchelor left to join Saga ahead of the company's £3b flotation.
At the time it was reported he would work alongside Batchelor for six weeks and continue in the role for two months while headhunters were tasked with finding a permanent replacement.
Stephen Hemsley, non-executive chairman, said: "Since becoming interim CEO in January, [David Wild] has impressed the board with his passion and understanding of both the company and our franchisees.
"He has brought clarity of thought to our strategy, both in how to progress in the UK and Internationally. Having conducted a full and thorough recruitment process, we are confident he is the best person to take the business forward."
Wild added: "I have very much enjoyed the full time role within the business and look forward to continuing to work closely with our franchisees to grow the business across all of our geographic regions."
