Ego to open 10th site in Ackworth pub

Restaurant brand Ego is to open a new venue at the Beverley Arms pub in Ackworth near Leeds and Doncaster next week.

Ego at the Beverley Arms will open on 7 September following a £500,000 investment to turn the traditional public house into a 130-cover restaurant.

It will be the tenth site under the Ego brand, which is operated by 3Sixty Restaurants, run by James Horler and Luke Johnson.

Commenting on the new opening, Horler said: "This is a wonderful property that was in need of refurbishment. After our first successful pub opening last year, the addition of the Beverley Arms is very exciting. We are currently looking at many sites throughout the Midlands and the North where we can bring our very well proven neighbourhood restaurant brand to more people.

"Our Ego brand has demonstrated that social media and local marketing can make a difference. We now have one of the highest number of followers on Twitter at over 4,000 per restaurant and we have just had our 80,000th member join our Ego Club, an average of 8,000 members per restaurant. We are keen to continue to expand the business within our own resources."

In addition to Ego, 3Sixty also runs five restaurants under the Rocket brand, with four in London and one in Nottingham.
