‘Epicurean avenue' to open in Earls Court

An entire street in London is to be transformed in to an ‘epicurean avenue' featuring two bars, four restaurants and an enclosed woodland pergola garden.

Due to open on 9 November, the former Prince of Wales pub on Lillie Road in Earls Court, and four disused connecting buildings on West Brompton Crossing will house burger restaurant Patty & Bun, Thai restaurant the Begging Bowl, farm to table restaurant Rabbit and Vietnamese barbecue restaurant MAM.

Named the Prince, the complex will be open seven days a week until 11:30pm on Friday and Saturdays, 11pm from Tuesday to Thursday, and 10pm on Sunday and Monday.

The former pub will be transformed into a double-level bar. It will be available for large group bookings, with no fee paid for up to 199 covers, as well as individual customers. A total of 600 seats will be available in the pub, with an additional 200 across the other outlets.

An all-year secret weatherproof garden will be found at the back of the restaurants and pubs. The woodland space will begin with a top deck that will lead down into a garden where an outside bar will be wrapped around a vast twisted willow. It will also feature hidden tables and private cabins.

There will be a removable roof for the summer and a bespoke enclosed and heated pergola for the winter.

The Prince is a project from the Incipio Group, the team behind Pergola on the Roof, a 600-seater rooftop eatery in White City and Pergola Paddington Central, an 850-cover dining experience outside Paddington Station.

Founded in 2014, the Incipio Group specialises in taking unused or temporarily dormant spaces and turning them into lifestyle concepts.
