ETM Group's Hannah Bass joins Hakkasan as UK director of operations
Hannah Bass, operations director at the ETM Group, has left the London pub firm to join Asian restaurant group Hakkasan.
Bass, who worked at the ETM Group for five years and helped to grow the business to nine sites across the capital, has been appointed as UK director of operations at Hakkasan.
Reporting to the group's chief operating officer Didier Soulliat, she will oversee the Michelin-starred Hakkasan Hanway Place, Hakkasan Mayfair and Yauatcha as well as Japanese restaurant Sake No Hana and Bar at Ni Ju San.
Bass will also be tasked with helping to grow the business over the next year as the group plans to have restaurants catering for each section of the market. She joins the group's international team, which also includes Henk Bruggeman, director of operations UAE and Shanghai, and Richard Miyashiro, new project operations director for Hakkasan West Coast.
"I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting point in the Hakkasan success story," said Bass.
Last year, Hakkasan's Abu Dhabi investors made £100m available for the group to expand in travel hubs around the world.
Hakkasan chief executive office Niall Howard said: "The aim is to create a global food and beverage business with four regional hubs: the Far East, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas." Hakkasan set to open New York site as part of £100m expansion >>
