Feng Sushi secures ninth site
Sushi restaurant and delivery business Feng Sushi has acquired its ninth site.
The company, co-founded by Silla Bjerrum in 1999, will open a new restaurant on King Street in London's Hammersmith, close to Ravenscourt Park.
Bjerrum said the move was in response to strong demand in west London, particularly for Feng Sushi's delivery service, which will be offered from the new site, serving Hammersmith, Chiswick and Acton.
The restaurant is also expected to have space for 20 covers upstairs, and around 12 outside, although the design has not yet been finalised.
And the Hammersmith site will also be the third in the group to offer Feng Sushi's high quality grab and go products. The grab and go element to the business was first introduced at Feng Sushi's Notting Hill site in September, following by Kensington in January.
"We will take the grab and go a step further with the new site," said Bjerrum. "What is exciting about this project is that we are going in with a clean slate and we can build the business around the grab and go, instead of introducing it to an existing business."
The delivery element of the new site is expected to be up and running by early April this year, with the restaurant and grab and go ready by late May or the beginning of June.
