First-time buyers for Cotswolds inn

The new owners of the 18th century Cotswold inn are Ian Baker and David Flemming from Farringdon, in Oxford. They previously worked as a primary school teacher and a wholesale supplier to the garden trade respectively.

The Grade II-listed former coaching inn, which was refurbished in 2005, is just eight miles from the spa town of Cheltenham.

Inside, it offers a ground floor lounge bar and 30-seat dining area along with an upper-level 24-seat restaurant with a vaulted roof and balcony.

The first and second floors provide generous three-bedroom owners' accommodation.

Outside, the inn offers extensive parking, bench seating overlooking the River Coln, and a covered sun terrace with patio heaters.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £119,000 on behalf of Kevin Robinson.
