FishWorks set to open Islington restaurant

FishWorks has set an August opening date for its first new restaurant since listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in June.

The 40-cover fish restaurant will open in Upper Street in London's Islington at the end of next month.

A seafood bar and retail store has also been launched on the fifth floor of Knightsbridge's prestigious Harvey Nicholas department store, also in London.

The company raised £4.4m from its first day of trading on AIM and is pushing ahead with plans to grow by four to five restaurants a year.

The latest additions complement restaurants operating in Bath; Bristol; Christchurch, Dorset; and London (Chiswick and Marylebone).

Chief executive of FishWorks Roy Morris said: This is an exciting time in the evolution of FishWorks as a number of our new initiatives come to fruition. We are also extremely pleased to have completed on our new site in Islington which is our third full service outlet in London."
