Five Guys to open site in the O2
US-based burger chain Five Guys is set to launch a new site in London's O2 in Greenwich.
The new venue, which is set to open on 9 November, will be Five Guys' 15th site in just over a year since the first UK outlet launched in Covent Garden.
The new 3,120 sq ft site includes seating adjacent to the escalator entrance to the cinema.
Five Guys was first established in the Washington, D.C. metro area in 1986 by the Murrell family and now has more than 1,200 sites globally. Recent UK openings have included Glasgow, Westfield London, Manchester, Reading and Bluewater.
John Eckbert, director of Five Guys UK, said: "We are excited to be opening our next central London venue at the O2, which is home to some of the best eating and drinking locations in London. As an incredible hub for entertainment that draws visitors from all over the UK, we are pleased to offer visitors the perfect pit stop to refuel and discover our vast selection of fresh burgers and signature Five Guys style fries".
Richard Collier, property director at Five Guys UK, said: "Five Guys' expansion across the UK is highly dependent on the locations chosen, and the O2 was on our list of locations from day one! It gives us the buzz and atmosphere of London in a location that provides access to a unique catchment area."
