Flavour Bastard closes after a year
"Cuisine-agnostic" restaurant concept Flavour Bastard in London's Soho has closed after only one year in business.
The restaurant was founded by restaurateur Vic Singh and Pratap Chahal, who is behind London-based fine-dining events company That Hungry Chef. It opened in September 2017.
It closed "temporarily" in August 2018 for refurbishment and was expected to reopen in September; however, the restaurant's website now says it has shut and "will not reopen".
Notices on the door dated 28 November declare that the site's landlord has recovered possession of the premises from Forever Fine Foods, the company under which the restaurant operated, and its electricity has been cut off since 10 December.
The menu was described as combining flavours and techniques from different cuisines and cultures.
