Former Bill's HR director joins Leon as people director

Marco Reick, formerly HR director at Bill's, has joined Leon as people director this week.

Reick who was at Bill's for three and a half years, joins Leon to support its 800 employees as it commits to opening 50 new stores and hiring 1,000 more people over the next four years following £19m funding from OakNorth.

Leon's focus on staff wellbeing includes initiatives like bi-annual wellbeing retreats for staff, which involve practising yoga, meditation and acupuncture.

There are 41 Leon sites across the UK and Europe, most recently openings including Brighton, London Liverpool Street Station and Eastcastle Street, Fitzrovia, London.

Co-founder and CEO John Vincent said: "Marco Reick is joining Leon as people director. I like him. The rest of the Leon family like him. He is going to help us grow big and strong, whilst focusing on the growth and well-being of every individual."

Reick added: "Leon has an inspiring vision, one that I've admired as a customer for many years. I own all of their cookbooks. I am excited to be joining the team to help make Leon a place where people can live and eat well, grow and achieve. So much is already being done, and we are planning so much more."
