Former Chewton Glen chef opens new restaurant venture

Former Chewton Glen chef Nick Atkins has opened a new restaurant in Wimborne, Dorset, called Rock.

The new site at 23 West Street will offer seasonal British food to diners in a relaxed environment.

Victor Ferreira has been installed as the restaurant's chef, while Dan Hancock is general manager.

Atkins said: "On West Street we have found the perfect location for Rock where we can create our signature informal and friendly restaurant environment offering our unique collection of British cuisine. We are looking forward to delivering what we hope will fast become a highly-favoured local eating spot."
