Former Orient-Express Hotels boss takes D&D post
The former head of Orient-Express Hotels, Simon Sherwood, has been appointed non-executive chairman of the new holding company of restaurant firm D&D.
The move comes after last week's acquisition of a 69% majority stake in D&D by private equity company LDC.
LDC bought the 51% share held by Sir Terence Conran, and the 18% share held by private equity firm Caird Capital, in a deal worth £50m.
D&D's senior management team led by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi will retain their investment in the business.
