Former Ritz Rivoli Bar general manager joins Mr Fogg's Residence

Marco Ercolano has been appointed general manager of Mr Fogg's Residence, a cocktail bar in Mayfair, London.

Ercolano, previously general manager at Rivoli Bar & Lounge at The Ritz London, will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day runnings of the bar.

Having studied hotel management in Italy, Ercolano moved to London in 2003 to pursue his hospitality career.

He began his career in hospitality at the five-starred Baglioni Hotel in Kensington, London, where he was appointed head bartender. Since then, he has worked at various renowned London bars and restaurants including: the Milestone Hotel in Kensington, London; the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, London; and Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows in the London Hilton on Park Lane where he won the Galvin Cup 2008 Cocktail Competition.

Of the appointment, he said: "I am extremely happy to have joined such an amazing, innovative and fast-growing company. The company is made out of a group of forward thinking, energetic people. From day one I felt like I was at home, part of a small family. I am glad to have the pleasure of working for Charlie and Duncan, who are two amazing people.

"At the moment we are working on a few brilliant projects, which I hope, we will be able to unveil quite shortly to our guests. My aim is to keep improving the service we provide to our guests, while adding a boost of energy to the whole venue and the customer experience."
