Franca Manca boosts revenues and half-year profit at Fulham Shore
The acquisition of pizza group Franca Manca earlier this year has boosted half-year operating profit at Fulham Shore to £1.7m, up from £900,000 in 2014.
Revenue to 27 September 2015 also increased to £13.9m, compared to £5.5m during the previous year. The results reflect a full six months trading from the Real Greek brand and the Franco Manca restaurant in Tottenham Court Road in London, which was run under a franchise agreement, and five months trading of the Franco Manca portfolio, following its acquisition in March.
During the six-month period, the company opened a Real Greek restaurant in St Martin's Lane, London, and three Franco Manca pizzeria in Soho, Ealing, and Covent Garden. By the end of September, Fulham Shore total portfolio comprised 24 restaurants, made up of nine the Real Greek and 15 Franco Manca pizzeria.
Since then, the group has opened further Franco Manca restaurants in Earls Court, Bermondsey and Wimbledon. A further Franco Manca will open in Stoke Newington in March 2016,while the franchised Bokowski charcoal grill restaurant will launch in Soho, next spring.
Further openings are planned for Brighton, Guildford and London's Victoria.
