Gary Rhodes opens new restaurant aboard P&O's Oriana
Gary Rhodes has opened a new restaurant onboard P&O Cruises' Southampton-based luxury liner Oriana.
Oriana Rhodes is an 80-cover fine-dining restaurant that was created while the vessel underwent a multimillion-pound refit before it left for its annual world cruise earlier this year.
It marks Rhodes's second eatery onboard a P&O Cruises-owned ship after Arcadian Rhodes on Arcadia, another ship in the company's fleet.
Rhodes told local journalists he was very excited about the new eatery.
"I jumped at the chance of developing another restaurant for P&O after I saw how popular it was on Arcadia," he said.
"My emphasis is always on top quality ingredients and food presented in style in the best possible surroundings. I expect the highest standards in my restaurants and this one is no exception."
Rhodes is also opening a new restaurant in London next month.
Rhodes W1 Restaurant will be located at the Cumberland hotel at London's Marble Arch, which also houses his Rhodes W1 Brasserie.
