Giggling Squid secures Salisbury site for 12th restaurant
Thai restaurant chain Giggling Squid is to open a new site in Salisbury - its 12th restaurant overall.
The latest venture will be Giggling Squid's first in Wiltshire and will sit in Market Place in the city centre, on the site of what is currently a Strada.
It will be the largest restaurant of the group, with seating for 120 diners on the ground floor. As a former hotel, the building also has space for offices and staff accommodation.
Giggling Squid will spend £150,000 on a refurbishment and the new site is expected to open in Easter 2015.
Giggling Squid currently operates 10 successful venues in Brighton, Hove, Crawley, Tunbridge Wells, Henley-on-Thames, Reigate, Stratford-upon-Avon, Marlow, Horsham and Sevenoaks. It will open in Bristol after Christmas.
The company was founded by Andy and his wife Pranee Laurillard in 2009.
