Gino D'Acampo partners with Next

TV chef Gino D'Acampo has announced a partnership with Next, the fashion retail brand and Manchester-based Individual Restaurants to open restaurants in Next stores this November.

The first joint venture restaurant will launch in the out of town store in Kingswood Retail Park, Hull. It will include a large al fresco dining space and will seat 210 guests.

This will be followed by Manchester Arndale, Next's largest store, which is currently undergoing refurbishment.

The restaurants will feature an open kitchen, deli bar, book and grocery store and a Prosecco bar.

The partnership between D'Acampo and Next will be aided by Steven Walker, founder of Individual Restaurants. It owns and operates 38 restaurants around the UK including: Piccolino, the Restaurant Bar & Grill, Bank Restaurant & Bar, Gino D'Acampo My Pasta Bar & Gino D'Acampo My Restaurant brands.

A spokesperson for D'Acampo said: "Gino D'Acampo not only serves great Italian food, his price points are accessible to all, which is a great fit for Next."

The first Gino D'Acampo My Restaurant opened in Corn Exchange, Manchester in late December 2015. The chef has revealed plans for at least four more restaurants this year after the forthcoming opening of his Liverpool restaurant this July.
