Goodman's gets lukewarm welcome

Jay Rayner at the Observer visited London's Goodman's, armed with the knowledge that the name is so "because they are good steaks for good men".

Rayner described the venue as a "proper steakhouse doing proper steaks" but was ultimately left slightly disappointed as the general standard of steakhouses in London has increased markedly in the past decade or so.

Terry Durack visited Piazza by Anthony (Flinn) in the former Leeds Corn Exchange and found "a scarily impressive project".

The Independent food critic said Leeds is lucky indeed to have such a foodie destination and declared "let the people come".
