Gordon Ramsay acquires Bennett Brasserie and Oyster Bar site in Battersea Square, London

Gordon Ramsay is set to take over the site of what was Bennett Brasserie and Oyster Bar in Battersea Square, London.

No details have so far been released about the new venture, although Ramsay has now signed the deal and is understood to have taken possession of the keys for the site.

Ramsay is expected to release further details about the new venture in the coming weeks.

The celebrity chef's 25-strong restaurant group is currently focussed on opening Gordon Ramsay's Union Street Café, backed by footballer David Beckham.

The Russell Sage-designed eaterie in a converted warehouse in London's Borough market will open in September 2013.
