Gordon Ramsay's Maze restaurant in London's Mayfair will close in January 2019, to be replaced by a new concept.
The restaurant, which held a Michelin star between 2006 and 2015, sits in the London Marriott Grosvenor Square hotel.
Its closure was revealed in the financial results of parent company Kavalake Limited, which showed gross profits of £25.7m for the 14-strong restaurant group, in the year to 31 August 2017, up from £25.5m the previous year.
But, the company reported a pre-tax loss of £3.8m compared to a profit of £102,000 the year before.
In the report, filed with Companies House, Ramsay's restaurant group said it was seeking opportunities for new restaurants in the UK and internationally.
The first of these was revealed in results for Gordon Ramsay Holdings International, also published today, which outlined plans for the opening of a Bread Street Kitchen in Sanya, China, following a 55% increase in turnover to £1.3m compared to £813,422 the year prior.
For the year end 31 August 2017, Gordon Ramsay Holdings International's profit before tax was £1.2m (2016: £695,960) and operating profit was up 77%.
Ramsay said: "Following the success of Bread Street Kitchen and Bar at Atlantis, the Palm, Dubai, I'm proud to be bringing a taste of Europe to guests at Atlantis Sanya, as part of the resort's focus on quality, international dining,"
The future outlook for the company is to continue to focus on supporting the London restaurants within the Kavalake group and constantly review operations.
Gordon Ramsay Holdings International has eight subsidiaries including London House Restaurants, G R Logistics, Foxtrot Oscar Holdings, Foxtrot Oscar, Gordon Ramsay (York and Albany), Gordon Ramsay Plane Food, Gordon Ramsay (No. 2), and Gordon Ramsay (One New Change).
In January, The Caterer exclusively revealed that reports were circulating that Gillies had left the Gordon Ramsay Group. This was confirmed in March with papers filed to Companies House.
He was replaced by former managing director Andy Wenlock.
