Hart's is Nottingham's Restaurant of the Year
Hart's has been named Restaurant of the Year in the Nottingham Restaurant Awards 2006, taking the title from World Service, holder of the accolade for the past three years.
Hart's, owned by Tim and Stefa Hart and located on Standard Hill, also picked up the Best Business Lunch award.
It was voted Nottingham's finest restaurant by the Good Food Guide in 2003 and holds a star in Egon Ronay's 2006 restaurant and gastropub guide.
Michelin-starred Restaurant Sat Bains, in Lenton Lan,e was named Best Fine Dining Restaurant.
Lewis Bebbington of Tom Brown's won a cook-off held at New College Nottingham to scoop the Young Chef of the Year title.
Independent food critic and judge Bill Knot said: "It is enormously gratifying to find, in Nottingham, not just branches of London-based chain restaurants, but a genuine culture of independence and excellence".
